Sono stati diffusi i nuovi trailer dedicati al sedicesimo film ispirato alla saga dei Pokemon, Gekijoban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Shinsoku no Genesekuto: Myuutsu Kakusei (Pokémon il Film! Genesect della velocità estrema: Il risveglio di Mewtwo). I Pokemon rappresentano un mondo di avventure, giochi, manga, movies e serie animate, che con la sua progressiva, inarrestabile espansione ha contribuito, più di quanto non si possa sospettare all’affermazione degli anime nipponici in tutto il pianeta. Nel nuovo film torna un protagonista assoluto del mondo dei Pocket Monsters: Mewtwo, il primo pokémon leggendario ad esser stato creato dall’uomo, che è apparso nei primi due film del franchise, forse l’unico ad esser in grado di contrastare il potente gruppo di esseri creato dal Team Plasma, ed il possente e velocissimo Genesect rosso che li guida.

Sinossi: Ash, Pikachu, con Spighetto ed Iris, visitano la metropoli New Tork City, dove – nel bel mezzo della città- sono state create le “Pokemon Hills”, un’area dedicata completamente ai Pokemon, costruite per dare loro protezione e riparo, ed i cui lavori per la costruzione sono quasi completati. Contro le “Pokemon Hills” viene scatenato il gruppo dei Genesect guidato dal Rosso. Ma proprio mentre tutto sembra perduto compare all’improvviso Mewtwo, che con i suoi poteri psichici impegna gli avversari. Ma è proprio lo stesso Mewtwo? Che sorprese riserva il futuro?
Il nuovo film dedicato ai Pokémon uscirà in Giappone il 13 Luglio 2013, come di consuetudine insieme al film principale verrà presentato un breve corto, il cui titolo sarà “Pikachu to Eevee Friends”, potete vederne le prime immagini nel finale dei trailer.
This is a continuation of the Intro scene I made six months ago. Hulk and Superman are in the desert and the fight begins. This is a work in progress and there is more battle scenes to come, this is just the first part. There will probably be two or three sequences to follow this, but I’m doing it in parts because it takes forever to get it done and I want share as it’s being completed. I’m open to suggestions and ideas from anyone, so let me know what you’d like to see in fight scenes to come. When all the scenes are done I plan to combine them together into one epic fight.

Superman vs Hulk – The Fight (Part 2)

This is the second part to my ongoing animation project, a tribute project to Superman and The Incredible Hulk. As you’ll notice, the models and overall look has evolved and will continue to do so in future sequences. I’m already working on a new look for the Hulk on the next one. I got professional help this time in the music and sound design department, provided by the talented Francois Gratecap, which has made the whole project that much better. So my thanks to him.
Disclaimer : This is not affiliated with Marvel or DC and is just my interpretation on how a fight between these two fictional characters could potentially go down. I’m not basing it on any previous materials such as the comics in which they appear. In this, their powers are not infinite as may have been depicted before. Also, I consider this a work in progress experiment, I’m learning animation as I go so this is far from a polished and finished piece. I welcome all comments but please keep that in mind when commenting.
About the project specs : Created on an Intel i7-990X hex core 24 GB RAM, and and i7-920 quad core 12 GB RAM. It took about eight months to do the animation. The models and character puppets have been a work in progress for years prior though.
Autodesk Maya is used for the all 3d modeling, animation, hair and cloth simulation. Z brush is used a bit for additional high detail model sculpting of the characters. Mental Ray is used for rendering. Adobe After Effects is where it’s all composited and sequenced together. I’ve done additional editing and audio track overlays with Sony Vegas. (For questions regarding the sound design and music score creation, contact Francois, his info is below) All these programs are great but you can do similar stuff with similar software.
During this production, I didn’t always have access to both workstations so that is partly why it took a few months longer than it should’ve to complete. Also I’ve been working full time job while making this, and haven’t had the time I’d like to put into it. I hope to be able to take time off work for the next project and have it finished in the summer some time.
